Today, we're remembering Drew and Sarah's Hotel Albuquerque wedding from summer of 2017.
Hotel Albuquerque is one of those venues that is gorgeous year-round. Don't get us wrong, it's always different season to season, but each season brings a unique beauty regardless of time of year.
Sarah and Drew were married in early August, and their wedding day was a joyous celebration. Family came from far and near, and they incorporated many Jewish traditions that were important to them and their families. Instead of a DJ they not only had a live band, but one of our very favorite local bands: Le Chat Lunatique! And we can't forget to mention their ring bearer who walked on all four paws and had the wedding rings smartly attached to his collar. Such a handsome boy! And so well behaved.
I mean, who doesn't love dogs at weddings? Or anywhere, for that matter?
So, back to Sarah and Drew's beautiful wedding day. Let's start with some of our favorites from their ceremony.
It's been over a year since we photographed this wedding. and we still remember the elation of the day. From the breaking of the glass to the lifting of the couple up in chairs at the reception, it was a wedding not to be forgotten.
Hotel Albuquerque is one of our favorite venues for Bride and Groom photos. There's just so much character here, from the gorgeous trees and bushes (there's color somewhere almost year-round) to the vine covered columns, to the arched doorways and private courtyard, it's a photographers dream!
Sarah and Drew made our jobs really easy too. They were just so in love and so happy. And even their fur baby was on point, smiling for the camera. Now that's a good boy!
And then, it was party time. With Le Chat Lunatique playing the music they're known for (they call it filthy, mangy jazz), you couldn't help but dance. Sarah and Drew's friends and family danced the night away after the formal events were finished. A few are shown here: Sarah and Drew being lifted up in chairs during the traditional Horah dance, Sarah and Drew enjoying their first dance together, and Le Chat Lunatique doing their thing. And of course, there was delicious cake.
We hope you've enjoyed this little peek into a wedding at Hotel Albuquerque. And to Sarah and Drew, thanks for trusting us as your wedding photographers! You're into your second year of marraige now, and we have no doubt you are making incredible memories together. Our love to you both!
